AMERSHAM LOSE PRESIDENT’S MATCH

JOHN Mason’s Amershamteam lost their BCBA President’s match to Bucks this week.

Leslie Plumb, Ken Sears, Jim Saunders and Brian Hone won their rink 25-16, but Bucks Bowling Association President led his side home.

In Three Counties League action Brian Hone, Ian Attley, Joy Spicer and Beryl Baker’s victory couldn’t prevent a defeat to Chalfont St Giles.

Amersham did beat Hazlemere in the Bucks Plate 91-42 with Ged Putt, Eric Sherlock and Rob Pearson leading the way.

Meanwhile, Diana Bassett, Jean Oldfield, Kathy Garrood and Pauline Pearson lost 20-10 to Chesham in the Burnham Plate.

And the ladies also had mixed fortunes against Wycombe in the Vi Trundell competition. They lost the home match but won the away match thanks to Jill Rawes, Heather Sears, Margaret Sherlock and Pat Barnard’s 30-10 triumph.
